The SenCom Board of Directors
cordially invites you to our MEMBERS-ONLY Annual Meeting on Friday, May 10, 2024, from noon until 3 p.m. at Lakeview Village. Lunch will be served at noon and attendees can start arriving at about 11:30. We will be meeting in the Treetop Room, located on the 5th floor of the Southridge Building, 14001 West 92nd St, Lenexa, KS (see directions and maps below).
This meeting will feature a free luncheon plus drawings for many door prizes. The business portion will include the election of officers for the positions of President & Vice-President.

“PERSONAL SAFETY & CRIME PREVENTION”
Presenter:
Officer Danny Chavez, Lenexa Police Department
Officer Danny Chavez is a 23-year veteran of the Lenexa Police Department. During his career, he has served as a Patrol Officer, and School Resource Officer and is currently assigned to Community Policing. His current duties consist of public education, community engagement, and crime prevention, and he serves as the department’s media spokesman.
An RSVP is required by Midnight, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, if you plan to attend, so we can notify the caterer on May 1 of how many will be there. You can RSVP by clicking REPLY to this email. You can also RSVP by email to Lou Risley at sencomprez@gmail.com or call her at (913) 298-0575.
Your RSVP must be received no later than midnight on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, or there will be a $15 charge at the door.
The Annual Meeting takes the place of the May General Meeting.
Directions: From 95th and Quivira go west on 95th St. You will cross I-35 and proceed past Pflumm Rd. Just west of the railroad underpass is a stoplight at Santa Fe Trail Drive. Turn right (north) on Santa Fe Trail Drive and go to Widmer St. Turn left (north) on Widmer and proceed to the Lakeview Entrance. The large building just inside the entrance is the Southridge Building, where the luncheon will be held. You will be looking at the back of the building. (see maps below) – Also, see Google Map→
Proceed around to the front of Southridge (bearing right) and park your car in the parking lot by the entrance. Enter the lobby and take the elevator to the 5th floor. Turn right and proceed down to the end of the hall where the dining room is located.

I have also attached the PDF of my FB security presentation in case you can use some of the info for your class. I ended up with a gazillion resources and have a couple of more that I am going to use to update the presentation. I am enjoying the Edge Collections feature to keep track of websites I find to use at meetings, presentations, etc. I created one for the YouTube links I like–works better for me than Favorites.
I sent the Goodreads question to Steve Costello and have attached his presentation. There is a community page that might be considered some type of social media. He has the distinction of belonging to 4 groups in Florida, President of some of them, and having the groups disband.
